Graffiti or not Graffiti,

If it's painted on a cave over 1000 years ago... does that exempt it from graffiti status?

This picture is from an unknown source. My memory thinks it's a cave painting from France. If the artist owned the cave at the time, does that somehow make it better?

Is it the quality of the image that distinguishes it?

So the question again is Graffiti or not Graffiti????
