Wild at Heart, John Eldredge. The boy. The weapon.
It's not often I take in information and get cheesed. Wild at Heart did that. It challenges a lot of the way the world seems to me. Fundamentally though it embraces many of the notions of the heroes Journey and expands it in some ways that make sense. All in all an interesting piece of work.
Synopsis
Men can only be affirmed as men from a Male source
Women need to be pursued, fought for and protected.
Boys need to be initiated and need a rite of passage.
Girls are locked in a castle and need to be "found"
