His Dad's appreciation of things single speed and imagination was captured from the zeros and ones Sheldon created.
On this day the boy just decided that 4 wheels wasn't as good as two. The trainers were gone and away the boy rode. He thought he was right ... he knew he was right ... and he was right.
I didn't know Sheldon Brown other than through the information that he shared, but that being said, the information he shared had the same quality as a boy riding a bike for the first time. An engaged, engrossed, and wonderfilled spirit for the joy of life.
Sheldon even in your death, and attitude towards the cards that you were dealt. You were inspirational. Thanks for sharing your journey with me.
